Position Overview

Be positive, professional, have fun and satisfy customers while optimizing restaurant operations, sales, and cash flow by implementing store plans and procedures thru the team while ensuring adherence to quality, cleanliness, and customer service standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • The ability to provide direction and supervision during assigned shifts.
  • Coaching, training, and developing team members while providing ongoing feedback with clarity and positivity.
  • Ability to have positive and productive disciplinary and corrective action discussions with team members.
  • Manages both FOH and BOH shift responsibilities to include scheduling of staff to minimize overtime and achieve daily labor controls and cost as assigned by management. 
  • Supervise daily work shifts and team members according to plan for the day. 
  • Handle guest comments and complaints with positivity and appropriate solution. 
  • Monitor speed of service to ensure Gong cha’s standards, product quality and cleanliness is maintained, uphold Gong cha food safety standards verified by Steritech and MUM
  • Lead or assist in training of team members, including new hires as well as existing staff to make certain procedures and processes are followed. 
  • Performs/completes all checklists, temperature logs, other assigned line checks, as necessary. 
  • Exemplify and enforce Gong cha uniform policies and grooming standards. 
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed. 
  • Opening and closing of restaurant, including completing all required checklists, cash reports, opening or closing inventories and waste sheets, prep, and count cash drawers, prepare banking slips or any other duty assigned.

Job Specifications

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.
  • Must be able to spend 90% of working time standing.
  • Must be able to spend 10% of working time sitting.
  • Will be required to use all sensory capabilities such as: vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking.
  • Will be required to use physical capabilities such as: walking, bending, kneeling, handling, hand flexibility, reaching, squatting, crawling, lifting, climbing, and stooping.
  • Must be able to carry loads greater than 25 pounds, and be able to transport up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with our Guests and team members in the primary language of the restaurant, specific to location. (Primarily English).
  • Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
  • Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
  • Must have reliable transportation and access to a working phone number.
  • Flexibility on covering other work shift’s if necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Adaptive to change and able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Confident in the ability to lead and supervise
  • Retail Food Safety and Sanitation fundamentals – ServSafe or ANSI Certified program Preferred
  • Must be organized while having the ability to multi-task.
